everything in its place.

clouds like ice,

so cold and enveloping.

i love the view from up here,

i never want to leave.

but you have to land sometime.

there's a whole world on the surface,

and you have to be there to experience it.

the sky makes ants of men,

mountains into hills.

everything is still up here,

a world untouched.

no white lines, nothing to collide with.

EVERYTHING IN ITS PLACE.

although, not a place for us.

you have to land sometime.

let's make a world as still as this one.

everything moves too fast down there.

nothing matters up here, in the best way.

i know we have to land sometime,

but can we land softly?

the earth pokes through the holes in our floor,

reminding us of the distance,

reminding me of how far the fall is and how f*cked we are on our own,

but how we aren't alone.

EVERYTHING IN ITS PLACE.

IN YOUR PLACE.

you have to land sometime,

i think i'll land soon.
